From a tragedy to a new home.
In Nov 2015, a Grand Island home sustained fire damage and was left uninhabited. Now, with the help of Habitat for Humanity, this tragedy is being turned into a blessing for a local family.

On Feb 13, Grand Island Area Habitat for Humanity teamed with the Grand Island Fire Department, to do a controlled burn at 416 E 7th St. The firefighters recieved valuable training and Grand Island Area Habitat for Humanity will use the lot to build our 91st home.
Construction on home #91 will begin on March 4th--Grand Island Area Habitat for Humanity's 25th Anniversary. The dedication date is set for July 2017.
