Are you over 70.5 and interested in learning about tax-free ways to give?

Consider Grand Island Area Habitat for Humanity!

If you have a Required Minimum Distribution (RMD) from your Individual Retirement Account that you need to fulfill before the end of the year, consider Grand Island Area Habitat for Humanity by making a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) to the organization. A QCD can satisfy your RMD and up to $100,000 of QCDs may be excluded annually from your taxable income. For more information, call Will Armstrong at Edward Jones at (308) 382-3011 today!

Step 1

A qualified charitable donation may be made:

  • When the IRA holder is age 70 1/2 or older

  • Directly from the IRA to a qualified charity

  • From a traditional or Roth IRA

A QDC allows you to lower your adjusted gross income while also satisfying the required minimum distribution amounts set by the Internal Revenue Service
